Confetti Chili

Danette's recipe...very good!

1/2 lb hamburger
1 c onion
1 c chopped red bell pepper
2 garlic cloves minced
3 t chili powder
1 t cumin (optional)
1/2 t salt
1/2 t dried oregano leaves
1/4 t crushed red pepper flakes
1 28 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 15 oz can black beans (or dark bean)
1 19 oz can cannelloni beans (or light bean)
1 c frozen corn

Brown hamburger, onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Drain. Stir in all ingredients, except the corn. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Add corn. Cover and simmer 8 more minutes.

  1. I got this recipe from you a long time ago, and it's still my fave chile recipe. Sometimes I'll soak beans and cook them instead of using canned. When I'm organized. :)
